Australian Fulbright Alumni Association

Log in

The Australian Fulbright Alumni Association (AFAA) has brokered a partnership with RMIT University’s Global Studies’ Global Internship Course to provide a student internship opportunity to support the work of AFAA.

The intern’s activities will support AFAA’s marketing, communication, and branding strategies with a view to supporting a broad, organisation-wide refresh and relaunch.

The aim of the internship will be to establish and develop marketing, communication and branding strategy with a view to helping:

1.     Promote AFAA’s core vision, purpose and activities (both internally and externally);

2.     Brand AFAA in a way that reconfirms and further highlights the Association as contemporary, relevant, dynamic and forward-thinking;

3.     Expand AFAA alumni membership numbers across Australia;

4.     Identify and reach ‘new’ relevant audiences beyond our membership (i.e. Fulbright Commission, Government, American Consulate, potential sponsors and donors, etc.) with whom AFAA can then partner.

How can our intern assist you?

The intern will be our 'social media officer', directly reporting to President Rod Kennett, and will be tasked with managing our social media presence. The intern is your direct point of contact regarding any social media matter, issue, or query. Additionally, the intern can help you with any state-based networking matter, from connecting you with another alumni to helping you join our AFAA network.

Our current intern

Our current intern is Stefanie Sestak, who is in her final year of a Bachelor of International Studies (Global Security) at RMIT. She is interning with us until 14 July.

Feel free to contact her via email s3840022@student.rmit.edu for any queries about the internship program and how she can be of assistance to you. To find out more about Stefanie and her career journey, connect with her on LinkedIn
