AFAA is excited to announce its inaugural conference, to commence with a free Salon the evening of Friday 17th November and the main conference to be held Saturday 18th November 2017 in Melbourne. The program promises to deliver stimulating debate and inspiring talks. We are honoured to host Professor the Hon Bob Carr as the keynote for our inaugural conference.
Make sure to secure your spot at the event now by registering for the Salon opener and the main conference - early bird registration closes soon!
The theme of our inaugural conference is Fulbright Alumni: Leadership in a new era. We have entered a challenging new era, in which old ways of seeing and acting no longer seem to apply. Leadership is needed, more than ever, on a number of fronts. The question is: how can we help strengthen economic prosperity, cultural vibrancy, environmental responsibility, and social justice for this new global age by providing leadership to form a new agenda?
This conference will bring together leaders from across these four broad thought streams (economic, cultural, environmental, and social). The conference will feature invited keynote presentations, panel sessions, concurrent sessions, poster presentations, breakout sessions, and social events to generate an action agenda. Our program will feature 20 inspiring talks from Fulbright alumni. For full schedule details visit the conference schedule.
The conference will be held at the Woodward Conference Centre, 10th Floor, 185 Pelham Street, University of Melbourne. Please contact us with any questions at 2017Conference@fulbrightalumni.org.au.
