The Victorian Chapter of the Australian Fulbright Alumni Association will once again be hosting their annual Salon event, kindly sponsored by University of Melbourne, November 17th from 6pm. We are excited to announce that this year the Salon will be the opening event to our inaugural Alumni Conference, to be held November 18th at the Woodward Conference Centre, University of Melbourne. This year's Salon theme is Challenges for Liveability in Australia's cities: Have we reached a tipping point?. Think tanks such as the Economist Intelligence Unit routinely rank Australia’s major cities as amongst the world’s most liveable, but how well are we faring, really? This Salon will tackle this question with two leading experts in healthy liveable communities: Professor Billie Giles-Corti and Dr Iain Butterworth. This event is open to the public so anyone who wishes to can attend, but registrants to the Conference will be given priority access to tickets for the Salon.
