Bio and mentorship information
Iain has more than 30 years of experience working in the government, higher education, and community sectors. His primary interest is in bringing planners, policymakers, researchers and citizens together to build more liveable, healthier cities and communities.

With a background in community psychology. Iain's primary focus has been on public health policy. Iain helps busy planners, councillors, and policymakers to develop useful, rigorous, and policy-relevant information that is grounded in the contributions and expertise of communities and local partners.

As a Fulbright Scholar in 2003, Iain investigated the WHO Healthy Cities Program. In 2017 he returned to Berkeley on a Fulbright Alumni Initiative Grant as an Urban Scholar for the UN Global Compact -- Cities Programme.

Iain would be happy to offer mentorship to Fulbright alumni who are navigating the world of government policy and intersectoral governance on public health.
